Describe your childhood:
Adoptive Mom? My childhood was full of love, encouragment and the best family a kid could ask for. My mother stayed at home with us and had an in home daycare. My father has been in my life since I was 5 and the best dad a kid could ask for. Very supportive and easy to talk to.
Adoptive Dad? I grew up in a loving houshold. My parents always encouraged me to be myself and to work hard.
Tell us about your home?
We live in a spacious three-bedroom home that has a big backyard and a wonderful patio.
When you have a 3-day weekend, what do you like to do?
We love to spend time with family outdoors, barbequing, going to the lake, fishing, and hiking. The best weekend ever would be all of us camping.
Do you have pets? If so tell us about them?
We have a boxer. He is white and the best family dog anyone could ask for. He loves to play with us and is great with kids.
What do you hope to teach your children?
We hope to teach our children how to become respectful, successful adults.
Describe your neighborhood?
Our home is located in a wonderful family-oriented subdivsion. All of our neighbors are friendly and there are always lots of children outside playing.
What will you tell your child about their birthmother?
We will tell our child as much as he/she would like to know. We want him/her to know where he/she comes from once he/she is old enough to understand the concept of adoption.
It's Daddy's day - what activity do you want to share with your child?
I look forward to taking my child fishing at a nearby lake or pond.
What kind of education are you hoping to provide for your child - Private or Public?
Our child will receive a public education.
How did you come to the decision of adoption?
Michael and I want to raise a baby together and adoption is the best choice for us.
What faith will you raise your child?
Our child will be raised as a Methodist.
What kind of a relationship do you hope to build with your birthmom through her pregnancy?
The type of relationship we will have depends upon the birthmother. We are open to meeting her if she would like to meet us. We would like to be there to support her through this amazing journey.
How did you meet?
We met one evening while out with friends.
What was your relationship with your parents like?
Adoptive Mom? I am really close to both of them and feel like I can always talk to them about anything.
Adoptive Dad? My relationship with my family is very good.
What attracted you to each other?
We were attracted to each other's openess and love of life.
Please describe your personalities:
Adoptive Mom? Happy, fun, loving and easygoing.
Adoptive Dad? Adventurous, loving, and outgoing.
What are your hobbies (please share those you enjoy as individuals and those you enjoy as a couple):
Adoptive Mom? Reading, scrapbooking, and working out.
Adoptive Dad? Fishing, tying flies for fly fishing, and gaming.
Together? Anything outdoors with family such as hiking, swimming, fishing, camping, and playing miniature golf.
When you close your eyes and see yourself holding your precious baby in your arms what are your thoughts regarding the birthmother?
What a wonderful and miraculous gift she has given us.
How will a child enrich your life?
We have so much love to give and want another child to share it with. We want to raise a child together.
Why did you each choose the career path you decided on?
Adoptive Mom? I love to help people and as a relocation specialist, I am able to help military families have a smooth transition in to their new home.
Adoptive Dad? I chose my career path because I want to contribute to our country.
