Describe your childhood: |
Christin: Faith-based, secure, and loving. My parents guided me in becoming a stable and open-minded adult. Wonderful memories of family dinners, vacations, and loving days with my family.
Tom: Loving parents that fostered an atmosphere of faith, fun, and success. Had a tight knit family and lots of friends. Education was important but spending time with family was also important. I spent as much time as I could with my dad at the golf course.
Tell us about your home?
We live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath home on the north end of town. It is a brick home with a double carport, two living rooms and a formal dining room. The home is approximately 2000 heated square feet and sits on 3/4 of an acre.

Ranges from working around the house, to spending time with family, or going on a trip to New Orleans.
Do you have pets? If so tell us about them?

We believe that God is the foundation of a loving stable home. We want to teach our child about a strong faith, responsibility, loyalty, and earning what you have but also how to laugh and have fun.
Describe your neighborhood?
It is a well-established neighborhood that has seen an influx of younger families over the past few years.
What will you tell your child about their birthmother?
We will explain the sacrifice a birthmother must make to make sure their children have a better future. How selflessly his or her mother was to give her child a better life and in turn gave us a child to love and nurture.
It's Daddy's day - what activity do you want to share with your child?
It's all about spending time with family. I have a thought in my head of falling asleep with my child asleep in my lap while watching TV on my first father's day.
What kind of education are you hoping to provide for your child - Private or Public?
We have a great public school system. Being from a small town we know most of the teachers personally. Tom's mother is a retired first grade school teacher.
How did you come to the decision of adoption?
Since marriage we have wanted children but were not able to due to fertility issues and an illness left Christin with scar tissue that was another hurdle. We had many conversations. We prayed about it and decided that we have so much to give that we can't keep it all for ourselves
What faith will you raise your child?
We are Methodist.
What kind of a relationship do you hope to build with your birthmom through her pregnancy?
We will seek an arrangement that is best for ever yone.
How did you meet?
Tom: Christin and I were one year apart in high school and were friends. Over the years we lost contact but ran into each other at a wedding reception. We spent a while reconnecting during the event and after I could not get her off my mind. I called her a few months later and we have been inseparable ever since.
What was your relationship with your parents like?
Christin: Strong, faith based, and open. I always knew I could talk to my parents about anything.
Tom: Both parents were very practical but loving and so am I. Sometimes I was incorrigible as a child but always knew I was loved.

Christin is a smart, beautiful, and hard working woman. She is empatheic, sincere, and loving. Tom is smart, funny, and ambitious.

Thankful, blessed, her selflessness, and praying for her to have peace.
How will a child enrich your life?
The joy of a child learning as we have watched our nieces and nephews excites us both. We will have some one to pass on our rich traditions of faith and family.
Why did you each choose the career path you decided on?
Christin: Great career for a mother - part time, organization is a must, like helping people.
Tom: I have always been a humanities kind of person but never knew where I would land. I studied business in college and was a salesman for many years before running for Parish Assessor. I was recently re-elected without opposition.
